To check your version of Windows Media Player
- To start Windows Media Player application, click the desktop icon or go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Windows Media Player
- In Windows Media Player go to Help menu and select About Windows Media Player
- An "About Windows Media Player" window will open, from which you can see the version number, eg. Version: 9.00.00.3250
- If the version is not 10 or above you need to get Windows Media Player 10 from Microsoft.
