      Be a Nokia Ambassador Contest
You’ve cultivated a special affinity for Nokia. You know when we launch the latest phones. Your friends call you before they call tech support. In short, your passion for Nokia and its very human technology makes you the ideal candidate to be our brand ambassador.

My favourite tips include checking the Nokia website on daily basis, especially the software section. I’ve never missed out on the updates on Nokia PC suite software from the pioneer version, which kept me updated with the new features. Despite the availability of other third party software, Nokia PC suite is the tool I chose for backup, synchronising and data transfer. The one-click installer from PC suite is also frequently used by me. Secondly, I do take the time to check from time to time if there are any new firmware releases for my device. If the updates are available, I’ll dedicate some of my time to update to the latest firmware. Firmware updates do speed up the device speed, like image capturing in Nokia N95.

The end user forums for Asia are a good place for mobile/product owners to meet and discuss or share experiences. I usually browse through the posts on the forums and get answers to my questions posted in previous posts. Before posting my questions, I also search Europe’s end user support forums, and check if the solution has been posted elsewhere. Moreover, the product support section on the Nokia India website is very well maintained and contains all the information I need regarding my phones, starting from user guides to demos and software. One of the services of the Nokia-Asia site include My Nokia – which I use and also ask my friends and relatives (using Nokia devices) to subscribe, as it gives useful information and enhances the usability of Nokia phone users.

One of my favourite applications is Advanced Call Manager, which gives me the liberty to ignore calls from unwanted people. The best part of the application is that it allows maintaining more than one list, any one of which could be selected as black list or white list. It is a very useful application and deserves to be bundled with Nokia devices. Also, I love the application called Big Battery Screensaver, which allows me to not only keep tracking my phone’s battery life, but also lets me see the current time in big fonts, which is better than the default small fonts. I no longer wear a wrist watch since I started using this application.
