The subscription costs vary, but most services charge a fee for a fixed duration of time. For details on pricing and the duration of subscription, open the Nokia Life Tools application, select a service, click subscribe or request once and the client will ask you to confirm whether you want to request subscription information. Subscriptions can be renewed. Generally subscription prices vary from 30 RS 60 RS per month, depending on the service.
If you have purchased a Nokia Life Tools-enabled handset (e.g. Nokia 1616), the application is pre-installed in the phone, and is located in the main menu of the phone.
When you open the application for the first time, do the following:
Select the Life Tools icon in the main menu to access Life tools.
- Start the service by selecting Nokia Life tools icon from the phone main menu
- Accept the service disclaimer by selecting ok
- Select ‘Get New Services’ option
- Select either Agriculture, Education or Entertainment services
To access existing content, go to the “My Content” menu.
Refer the User guide in the gift box or Contact Nokia Care if you need assistance with using the application.
Nokia Life Tools is an application that offers a wide range of services in Agriculture, Education and Entertainment. Depending on the service, you either subscribe to it, or download content when needed. If you subscribe to a service, the service sends you text messages to your Nokia Life Tools inbox.
Nokia Life Tools is pre-installed in select Nokia devices, for example, the Nokia 1616. Nokia Life Tools will be available on additional devices later in time. The client is found in the main menu of the device.
Nokia Life Tools consists of the following services:
Agriculture service
This service enables you to receive daily updates on market prices for crops, weather forecasts, agri news and tips for your location and in your local language.
Education service
Education service includes :
1. Learn English, which provides daily tips to improve your English language skills
2. Exam Tips which provides learning material by subject, and
3. General knowledge.
Entertainment
This service consists of Astrology, News Alerts, and Ringtones (mono only).
- China: CMCC, China Unicom
- India: Airtel, Idea, Reliance and Tata Docomo.
- Indonesia: all operators

The service is available in English and nine Indian languages: Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi.
You may subscribe to as many services as you wish. Each service has its own subscription charge and duration.

The Entertainment service consists of three different services: ringtones, astrology, and news alerts.These services are available available both on-demand and as a subscription (except ringtones, which are on-demand only).
